Quote of the Day:

"Do not be awestruck by other people and try to copy them.Nobody can be you as efficiently as you can." -- Norman Vincent Peale

This quote came in an email today and I had a lightbulb moment because I am filling out college applications and I kept thinking that every body is smarter and better than me and just tearing my self down and I read this quote and I now feel much better. So I hope if you were having a bad day today too that this cheered you up because I know it sure did for me :)

Today's Quote:

So I decided that every day I am going to post a quote that I find. So here is the very first one...

"May I never miss a sunset or a rainbow because I am lookingdown."
-- Sara June Parker
HOPE you like them :)

So Long, farewell to summer...

Today seems to be one of many dreary days and I feel a sense of longing for summer, for all warmth is gone and the air is quite blustery. So farewell to the warmth and the sunshine and the long nights because winter is rolling in like a jet. The gray clouds blanket the sky and all animal life is ceasing to be present around the neighborhood. All there is now are deer every once in a while but they keep themselves well concealed. Also the end of term one for myself as a senior in high school is drawing to a stress filled close with finals and projects due but at the same time there is much relief in the knowledge that there is a end to this torment. But the end is a bit ironic as Halloween is just a day or two after the term ends. Term terror ends, Halloween frights begin :). I went on a walk through the woods near my house yesterday and took some pictures that I will put up in a little bit. They are gorgeous and they show how the winter days were rolling in like Helaman's army and the summer days were running away as fast as a bullet. They are pretty cool if I do say so myself! So tune in for those soon!

Day 2

Okay I first have to tell you that I am sorry i didn't do this yesterday and that yes, I did forget to write about yesterday. But no one's perfect, right? Anywho, yesterday was much like most days but there was only one thing that was definitely different and out of the ordinary. I had five classes but during the fourth one--which is Prostart-- we had a real lockdown. I repeat a REAL lockdown, and it was right before lunch too! I was secretly terrified but I was extremely calm on the outside, if I do say so myself. You are probably wondering why we had a lockdown, huh? Well for everyones benefit, I will tell you. First of all there have been some changes to our school in the past year and a half, like a new walmart, bank, and mc donalds, which have people getting red faces and using colorful language about, but that's besides the point. The thing was, that a person was assaulted outside of the walmart across the street from my school so the police got nervous about us and made us have a lockdown, yippee for everyone :( but I'm fine, thanks for asking. So, that was yesterday's adventure! thanks for reading and stay tuned.
Keep dreaming!

Day 1

Hello all you bloggers out there! It has been quite the day today and the fun has just begun; and as I promised, I will be writing about every senior moment and day that I have throughout the year.
I would like to start off by saying that today was wonderful! I had an early start with Early Morning AP Psychology which was great. Then I had AP Literature, seminary, and AP Human Geography. I don't have a fourth period so I get to go home at lunch, which is amazing because I will have so much homework! ( OH! I forgot to mention that at my school we have an A day and a B day with four periods per day ) The teachers are really good and they seem like they will make the classes even greater than they already sound. I am very excited for the school year to swing right into motion.
After I came home, I babysat for my mom while she went to Costco, and then waited for my sisters and dad to come home so that we could go to dinner to celebrate the first day of school. We went to The Myan, which is a mexican restruant with a diving show every half hour. It is reall quite amazing how they dive off of 35 feet rock cliffs into a small pool of water. But, tonight I wasn't feeling good and didn't eat very much which wasn't very good and the drive home was worse! I couldn't stand the small confined space and the limited amount of open air, I wanted some one to roll down a window but we were driving on the freeway and the noise wouldn't have helped either, so I was stuck feeling extremely sick to my stomache!
As soon as we got home and out of the car I started feeling a little better and now I feel just fine. A nice warm shower can do a girl some good every once in a while! :)
The house has been quite crazy tonight, all the younger girls were very tired and so they were trowing fits about everything for the longest time, but now all is quiet and calm, which is helping my head to heal quite a bit. But now I have to go do homework and get ready for tomorrow. I have early morning AP psych, sign language 2, chemistry, prostart 1 ( a cooking class ) and painting- a very big day tomorrow- so I need to get my sleep.
Wonderful dreaming everyone!

Well today is the fifth day of summer and things where i live aren't really heating up, it's actually quite boring because one of my friends is grounded for the whole month and my parents won't let me do anything this weekend because my grandma is here visiting with us. It's so tragic, I know, it is just so sad. But! yes there is a but, i found out that my T.V. has been recording The Vampire Diaries and I am absolutely hooked! So, i have been watching some episodes, they are fantasic, they have lots of action, romance...ect. (I love the guy who plays Sefan, he is so cute!!) Yes you could say i have a bit of an obsession over him but who doesn't? Really, he is goregous! Well that's all for now, stay tuned!

Homework and such

Well everyone, if there is anyone out there reading this,
it's 9:32pm and I am just starting my physics homework and I was supposed to practice the piano (yikes!) and I didn't. I wish I didn't have school so I could write full time but that can't happen until I graduate college. But, some day very soon (I hope) I will start up my novel. I wish so badly to become an author but my day is packed. So I will get started very soon, just you wait ;)

Coolest site!

Ok all you bloggers,
I have found the coolest clothing site around! It's called polyvore, you get to put outfits together to see how they look! And if you like the outfit, you can buy the clothes right there, without ever leaving the comfort of your home! It's pretty amazing if I do say so myself. Also I saw Julie & Julia for the first time last night and it is pretty much my favorite movie now, seeing as I love to cook and write, I felt like I was watching two women with my same interests . It is a very good movie, I recommend that everyone should see it.
